Question: What is the Pork Chop Platoon (PCP)?
Answer: The Pork Chop Platoon (PCP) has been one of the premier gaming communities for older gamers on the Xbox console since 2007. Our co-ed community consists of members from across the US and Canada as well as Ireland, England, Scotland, and Australia. Question: Does the Pork Chop Platoon (PCP) only play Call of Duty (COD)?
Answer: No. The PCP Community did form around Call of Duty after branching off from a Halo Community. There will always be a bit of a love affair with the title because of that, but Pork Chop Platoon members can be found playing everything from Call of Duty or Battlefield to War of Tanks to PUBG to Splatoon. Question: Can anyone join the Pork Chop Platoon (PCP)?
Answer: Yes and no. Pork Chop Platoon has survived for more than a decade by adhering to a strict but fair and surprisingly simple code of conduct. Our members are very diverse in every regard, but we all agree to treat each other and those who we game alongside with respect among other things. PCP also demands maturity. As such, we restrict membership to those over 25 (that is roughly 108 in gamer reflex years.) Question: Do I have to be good at (pick a game) to join the Pork Chop Platoon? Is there a tryout?
Answer: The short answer is no, you do not have have a specific skill level to join PCP. The longer answer is that we value our people and the community playing together over any game or having to “win.” There is a lot more to our story and our values on our about page.

Question: How can I be sure Pork Chop Platoon (PCP) is not just another group like some of the ones I have found on Xbox Live that are full of negative people?
Answer: Negativity online and in gaming clubs (Communities) is on PC, Playstation, Xbox—everywhere that supports online multiplayer or messaging. The Pork Chop Platoon has many safeguards in place to keep it out of our Community. Some examples include: following the rules set aside by developers and Xbox (we have several members who are community ambassadors for Xbox and elsewhere), we actively play with our PCP recruits to ensure they support the same values we do before granting full membership, and we have a strong founder and officer (staff) base who continually monitor our group. The bottom line is Pork Chop Platoon would not have lasted more than 12 years if we did not manage our community well. Question: Everything looks great so far. How do I know what events Pork Chop Platoon (PCP) is hosting (and when) so I can join in?
Answer: From the founders and officers of the Pork Chop Platoon, we are happy the community is something you would like to try out. When you register as a PCP Recruit, you will have access to a few sections of our forum. We post information about our weekly Community Nights there. We encourage you to come and game with us on those days. You can also play with members outside of Community Night. Members you meet and connect with will invite you for pick up games throughout the week (varies by members’ schedules and title.) Other resources include several social media pages, Discord access, and separate yearly LAN info which will be posted in various places.
