The Pork Chop Platoon Community for Older Gamers since 2007 is not just for Xbox anymore! We are now an online Community for older gamers no matter which system you are playing on! That’s right PCP is leaning into cross-play and becoming a cross-platform community.
Our community was founded on the philosophy that online gaming should be about camaraderie, respect, teamwork, and simply, having fun. With this philosophy at the core of Pork Chop Platoon we have stayed a strong community for over 17 years with hundreds of members. That philosophy doesn’t change now that we are moving away from being an Xbox-only community to becoming all encompassing, it only strengthens what we were built on by letting more players become apart of it.
This is just another evolution of what Pork Chop Platoon supports. We started out in 2007 as not only an Xbox Clan but a Call of Duty only Clan. As time wore on our members started to spread out and play many different games besides just COD. So PCP evolved to support all titles on the Xbox within the forums and our Community Gaming Night events. Fast forward and we are at another stepping stone in the evolution to support what our members are already doing. There have been two console generation launches since PCP’s inception and many members have moved on not only to other games but other systems, some built their own beefed-up gaming PCs while others opted for the Playstation during these hardware generational shifts. With cross-play enabled on many titles by default the lines between systems is now completely blurred so its only fitting that Pork Chop Platoon support Older Gamers where they are, not where we want them to be.
Along with this change we are also making access to membership easier and less frustrating to attain. This will help older gamers get involved more quickly and get into games with other ‘Pigs’ here at Pork Chop Platoon. Registration now happens all within Discord just by clicking the Discord invite link below and accepting the Age restriction and Code of Conduct Rules. This gets you everything you need to be a member of PCP. Our forums are still around but not a requirement to participate and get into parties or in-game clans with other PCP members.
